Phra Phrom, also known as the Four-Faced Buddha, is the Thai representation of the Hindu god Brahma. Phra Phrom has four faces and eight hands representing different aspects like family, wealth, career, and marriage. Worshippers offer candles, jasmine flowers, and young coconut milk. Statues of Buddha, Kwan Yin the goddess of mercy, and Thai warriors guarding the temple entrance are also present. The interior of Wat Thai temple shows monks singing and people meditating, supported by donations from worshippers since monks cannot earn money.

3. Phra Phrom, also called Four-faced Buddha is the Thai representation of the Hindu god Brahma. Phra Phrom
have four faces and eight hands. Its front side represents family, right side represents wealth, left side
represents career and back side represents marriage. Phara Phrom is holding eight objects in his hands. For
example Prayer flag represents omnipotent power, scriptures represent wisdom, triton represents blessing
and scepter represents boundless authority.
Few of the items that are offered to this God by worshipers are candles, jasmine flowers and young coconut
milk. Sometimes worshipers also put an elephant statue on the altars to honor their God.

This is the statue of Buddha. Here
Buddha is sitting on the ground with
his legs crossed and his hands
resting on his lap. His eyes are half
open and he have a gentle smile on
his face.
The way Buddha sits represents
stability, his gentle smile represents
the importance of happiness in
Buddhist religion and his half
opened eyes represents that he was
equally aware of himself as he was
of the world.
5. Kwan Yin is the goddess of Mercy. The
vase in her hand symbolizes her pouring
compassion on to the world. On the
right side of the photo, you can see that
Kwan Yin is standing on a lotus blossom,
which is one of the symbols of Buddhist
purity. Lotus is a beautiful flower that
grows out of mud and in this statue, the
meaning of lotus is that even though
our lives might be surrounded by dirt,
our hearts should be pure like the lotus
flower.
Notice that rugs are placed in front of
every statue, so people can visit the
statue, kneel down, make their offerings
to the God and Meditate or pray.

6. Thai Warriors who are guarding the temple
entrance
There are few rules that must be
maintained prior to entering the
temple. For example there is no
shoes allowed inside the
temple, so shoes must be taken
off prior to entrance. The
statues on both sides of
entrance are called Thai
Warriors and they are protecting
the temple from evil spirits.
7. Interior Of The Temple
Monks are singing songs and
people are meditating. You
can see the donations from
worshipers for monks on the
right side of the photo. Since
monks can not work for
money, people support them
by donating food and other
goods.

The pose of Buddha`s
hands in this statue is
called vitarka mudra.
Right hand is located on
chest level, fingers
pointing up and the
thumb and index finger
form a circle.
This hand gesture
represents discussion
and transmission of
Buddha's teachings and
the circle represents
constant flow of
knowledge.
10. Offerings To Buddha
Offerings to
Buddha include
water for drinking,
water for bathing,
flowers, incense,
light, perfume and
food.
This offerings
represent the
objects that delight
the senses.
