- 2. They did to solve the problem: Firstly, the communists wanted to take over the rule of Singapore from the British. The British was blamed for problems that many people were facing. The British then used Japanese POWs to take over the work of those who went on strike. Many workers where angered by this.
- 3. Why they did that: They wanted to stop the communists from controlling the trade unions.
