The City of Detroit is invaded by the statute of a devil. The group, Satanic Templar, headed by Jex Blackmore, advised the statute was on temporary display, before it is moved to Arkansas to be placed by the Ten Commandments on the grounds.

THE CITY OF DETROIT, FEARED EVIL THE IN THEIR MIDST: THEY CASTED EVIL OUT It was just another Saturday night for the people of Detroit. That is until around 11:30 P.M., when cheers erupted in an area that happened to draw quite a bit of attention. The business owner called about the large gathering on his property. Police arrived, and a woman was arrested for blocking the gate. Many people were there for the ticketed event. Ticketed? Apparently, yes this was indeed a special event for an elite group only. I never really thought of it like that. I will ponder that thought. This elite group of ticketed members were there for the unveiling of what the city of Detroit, and Reverend Dave Bullock from the Greater St. Matthew Baptist Church in Highland Park Michigan feared, and commented on, as evil. His comment according to Serena McDaniels, The last thing we need in Detroit is a welcome home party for evil. (Bullock, 2015) 1 Maybe he was being a bit facetious, but then again, when a 9- foot, 2,000-pound statue made of bronze, with wings, a human body, with a goats head resembling a design already related to an occult idol known as Baphomet is placed before you, and the representing chapter is a Satanic Temple, then evil would be something you would assume as part of the accompaniment. If you have heard the term Baphomet before, you may be somewhat suspicious. I have heard it in a few different texts. Once, as a term in the Freemasonry of the Knights of Templar. This group used goats as part of their masonry, in a positive way, so it is read. However, there were other groups who used this figure as dark magic, and theres also the statues of a boy and a girl on either side who stand just adoring, as if they might even be worshiping this figure. It wasnt just Detroit who felt this great evil would only cause trouble. Oklahoma City was looked upon by the director, Jex Blackmore, who represents the interest of the Satanic Temple Detroit chapter. She had plans to take the statue, to Oklahoma, to the State Fair Grounds, in the year of 2012, and unveil it next to the monument of the Ten Commandments. (Blackmore, 2015) However, lawmakers learned the value quickly of the state, known for its conservativeness. 2 The city and states response to impeach members of the court due to violations, when public property is used for religious displays put Republican Oklahoma Governor, Mary Fallin, quickly on her feet issuing appeals, and the temple members discussed a change in venue. Detroit has not made the same plan, since the temple members did not want to use this city as a permanent home. The statue is now covered, and will remain so- and hidden from site, until the group can celebrate their statue at the State Capitol Grounds, in Arkansas, where the Ten Commandments stand. However, the city is maintaining a close eye on it, and its representative, Jex Blackmore. Bethania Markus, of the Raw Story, was able to make contact with another member, and obtained a photo from the event page, which in the Satanic Temple had promised The Unveiling to be a night of chaos, noise, and debauchery a hedonistic celebration, along with provocative performances and artwork. 3 (Blackmore, 2015) With this subtle demonstration, held back as a result of quick response in the form of police people and prayer, the city of 2 Blackmore, J. Detroit was spared what the group intended to bring. Evil in the midst, casted out through the oldest form communication available- prayer. Our Two Cents: I remember in my old Folklore readings, which returned in a movie line from Batman that said, Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight? How perfect to remember here. I remember reading how the devil would dance at night, and all of his followers would dance with him. They would circle and devour their prey. Is that why Satans Temple joined at Midnight? Maybe so. In 1st Peter Chapter 5, Verse 8 ~ Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour. Was he seeking, or did he send others to seek? Those who came to pray? Were they coming to help, or coming to sacrifice themselves? Were they there to be devoured? Were they strong enough, 50 people against how many? Would these people be enough to draw the devil out? James, Chapter 4, Verse 7 ~ Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. It is not one person who resists the devil. God speaks through you. HE speaks through the people, through the Courts, through those praying in the streets. HE speaks. The devil has been cast from Oklahoma, and his people and he have traveled to Michigan. They were not welcomed in Michigan. Detroit withstood those who came with the devil. They have announced they are headed to Arkansas. Will Arkansas resist them? Revelation Chapter 12, Verse 9 ~ And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. When he comes to your state, cast him out; him, his angels, whoever and whatever they call themselves, cast them out.
