1) After the death of Mahmud of Ghazni, the Ghaznavid Empire declined and fell to the Ghurid dynasty from Ghor. 2) Muhammad Ghauri of the Ghurid dynasty invaded northern India, but was initially defeated by Prithviraj Chauhan, a ruler of one of the small Rajput kingdoms. 3) In 1192, Ghauri defeated and killed Prithviraj Chauhan, establishing the Ghurid dynasty as the new rulers of northern India. However, on his return to Ghur, Ghauri was assassinated, leaving his general Qutb-ud-din Aibak to establish the Slave

Mahmud of Ghazni  After the death of Mahmud of Ghazni another king was made.  One of the king of Mahmud of Ghazni murdered prince of Ghaur.  The two brothers of the prince attack Ghazni and destroy it in revenge.  The last king fled to Lahore which was all of his empire.
Muhammad Ghauri  Ghaur was ruled by two brothers who worked together.  The elder one concerned on maps while the younger Muhammad Ghauri attacked the Northern India as Mahmud has done. His elder brother died in a war and Muhammad Ghauri became the king. One of the small kingdom of Rajput were very power but they were not united. The Rajput’ s king name raja Prithviraj Chohan decided to attack Muhammad Ghauri.
Raja Prithviraj Chohan  In 1191, he attack Muhammad Ghauri and defeated him.  In 1192, Muhammad Ghauri killed Raja Prithviraj Chohan in the same battle field but in a good spirit allow his son to remain the king.
Quth-bud-din Aibak  While coming to his homeland Muhammad Ghauri was murdered.  He did not have any son so his solider Aibak became the king.  He was the first Muslim king who started the sultanate of Delhi.
Illtutmish  Aibak died while playing polo. His cousin Illtutmish became the king.  He was a good administer. He regain the cities that were rebelled.  his biggest mistake was that he gave power to the nobles.
Razia Sultana  After the death of Illtutmish his daughter Razia became the queen.  She was more powerful than her brother.  After 4 years she was died because the Turkish officers did not like to be commanded by a woman.
