Ask.fm is a global social networking site founded in 2010 that allows users to anonymously send questions to other users. It grew rapidly to over 120 million registered users worldwide, many of whom are young teenagers. However, Ask.fm received criticism for enabling cyberbullying and being linked to teen suicides. In 2014, Ask.com acquired Ask.fm with the goal of improving safety. It has since launched new safety initiatives like an advisory board and tools to help combat bullying.
