Who is the Holy Spirit? Here in Session 10 of Crossover Weekend Retreat we will know the Person and the Work of the Holy Spirit. Also, we will understand what it means to receive Him and to be filled by Him.
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth who exposes falsehood, sin, and Satan's schemes. He exposes false teachers, teachings, beliefs, religions, and prophets. The Spirit convicts people of sin and disobedience. He reveals that Satan is a liar and the father of lies who deceives people through counterfeit signs. Through the Holy Spirit, believers have the Spirit of Truth within them and will be set free from all deceptions.

Great Is The Lord Colossians 1:13-20 Adapted from a Jeffery Anselmi sermon
http://www.sermoncentral.com/print_friendly.asp?ContributorID=&SermonID=91440
The document discusses how believers can receive spiritual blessings through being "in Christ". It lists over 30 spiritual blessings mentioned in Scripture as being available "in Christ", such as redemption, eternal life, freedom, and God's love. The document emphasizes that God offers every spiritual blessing to those who are "in Christ" and asks how one can get "into Christ". It answers that the Scriptures speak of being "in Christ" as abiding or remaining in union with Christ, as depicted in John 15:4-7, rather than praying to get in.
This document provides background information on the biblical book of Colossians. It discusses the location and population of Colossae, the founding of the church there, and the date and purpose of Paul's letter. The letter sought to combat heretical teachings that had arisen, including aspects of Gnosticism, legalism, mysticism, and asceticism. Paul emphasized the preeminence of Christ over these errors and affirmed His sufficiency. The document then outlines the key points of Colossians, including Christ's deity, reconciling work, and demands on believers, as well as instructions for Christian living.

Exploring Pauls Letter To The Colossians Chapters 1 2Paul Goodhall
油
The document provides an overview and summary of Paul's letter to the Colossians chapters I-II. It discusses that Colosse was located near Ephesus and Paul had not visited the church there. It describes the Gnostic heresy that was influencing the church as viewing matter as evil and Jesus as a mediatory angel. Paul's letter countered this by emphasizing the lordship and deity of Jesus Christ. It also warned against legalism, mysticism, ascetism and other false teachings.
The document discusses the importance and purpose of water baptism according to the Bible. It provides eight examples from the book of Acts where individuals and groups were baptized after repenting and believing. While repentance is mentioned twice, faith four times, and receiving the Holy Spirit five times, water baptism is mentioned all eight times. The document argues that baptism should involve immersion in water, using the name of Jesus, as a symbolic burial of the old sinful self and rising to new life through faith in Jesus.
This document discusses the concept of calling in Christianity. It explores that believers are called by God to be Christians and obey the gospel. Believers are called to walk worthily according to their calling and live according to God's purpose. The calling is described as heavenly, high, holy, and humble. It brings hope for the future, and God proves faithful to those he calls. In the end, the document encourages believers to answer God's call in their lives.

Rethinking: Homosexuality and the Pro-Gay MovementNeo Lamperouge
油
This document discusses the Christian perspective on homosexuality. It begins by defining homosexuality as gender identity confusion resulting in same-sex attraction. It asserts that the Bible is the sole authority on whether homosexuality is right or wrong. The Bible unambiguously identifies homosexuality as sinful based on several passages. While homosexuality is a sin, Christians are called to condemn the sin but not the sinner, sharing God's love and salvation through Christ. The document encourages praying for and supporting homosexuals in overcoming same-sex attraction through God's grace.
This document discusses Jesus' healing ministry and the Christian belief that God can heal sickness. It provides examples from the Gospels of Jesus healing various illnesses and injuries. The document asserts that Christians are commissioned to pray for the healing of others based on Mark 16:15-18. It addresses differing views on whether divine healing continues today, whether all sickness is due to sin, and whether it is acceptable for Christians to seek medical treatment. The overall message is that all healing comes from God, and Christians should trust that God can heal through prayer or medicine according to His purposes.
Rethinking: Authority, Leadership and SubmissionNeo Lamperouge
油
After reading a Christian blog entitled "Spiritual Abuse: Shepherds Leading Like Royals", i was convicted and was lead to write an article about this difficult and sensitive issue of Authoritarianism (an idolatrous sin of controlling people). I began to recognize Authoritarian leaders around me and later recognized I was one of them. Having confidence in the authority and reliability of the sacred Scriptures, I am certain that this type of leadership in a church is not right nor biblical. Delve into this issue with me and encounter the right path to biblical leadership.
While many know that Jesus died on the cross, only few knew what He really did and accomplished in dying there. He did something for sure because he said "It is finished!", but what is it? Here in Session 3 of the Crossover Weekend Retreat we will find out.
End of Days SERIES | Days of Noah (Matthew 24:37-39)Neo Lamperouge
油
Jesus gives a clear picture of what the world looks like in the last days. He does this by comparing the generation preceding His return to the generation where Noah found himself. It was a picture of ungodliness that was so great it provoked God to send judgment upon the face of the earth. Because Noah found grace in the Lords eyes, God spared him and his family from the destruction. So it will be in the last days. The rise of wickedness and worldliness in our time makes the world ripe for impending judgment. But joy to those who found grace in the Lord Jesus and are walking with Him as Noah did, for He will spare them from the greatest troubles the world will ever witness.
As Genesis 41 unfolds, Joseph got promoted from Prisoner to Governor of the entire Egypt. Scholars and historians point out that it was Pharaoh Sesostris I who promoted him. But wait, how did he got such promotion all up a sudden? How did his long-time dream got fulfilled?
Joseph had a God-given dream but as he shared it to the ones who are close to him, they questioned him. We too will be questioned with our dreams but like Joseph, we must dream on and believe that God can turn our dream into reality.
For the sake of Homothumadon, focus on what we have in common, not our differences. Disagreements, as Rick Warren comments, is an indication that the Church has shifted to something less important: non-essentials.
The Certainty of Death and Uncertainty of LifeNeo Lamperouge
油
One common response towards the Great Commission is "Yes, I will go and make disciples, but NOT NOW". But WHY NOT NOW? Why do we go often to that direction? Probably because we have lost sight of the reality of the certainty of death and uncertainty of life.
Jesus glorified his Father here on earth by making disciples (John 17:4), and he calls us to do the same (John 17:18). God does not ask from us that we glorify Him in any way for which He will not supply us. And that's where the cross comes in.
The best way to start the New Year, I believe, is to immerse ourselves with the promises of God. According to scholars, there are approximately 1,260 promises that awaits us in the Bible. And we can claim them by faith in the Son of God.
It is notable that the total number of homosexuals in our country is gradually increasing. Not only their number but also their zeal to introduce homosexuality as an alternative lifestyle is rising today. May this article help us see what we ought to think about homosexuality and how we ought to respond to homosexuals.

Here one can find the final conclusions and a sort of an invitation for us to reevaluate our conduct when it comes to deal with Mediumship. All the dangers are related, The joy and the satisfaction to use this gift in favor of the neighbor is expressed here as the unique reason for working as a medium. Once more it is written here, without Jesus, mediumship has no end. And worse, it can be very hazardous.

The Power of the Cross: Part 1 A ProphecyDave Stewart
油
1 Corinthians 1:17; Psalm 22: The Power of the cross is evident in the fulfillment of prophecy. Jehovah provided these utterances to help the people of Israel understand what was happening the day that Jesus died. In this lesson our focus is on Psalm 22 that reminds Israel and us that he is the Messiah, that He is the King, and that he is bringing salvation for all. In Acts 2:22-36 Peter concludes his sermon on Pentecost Sunday. This is the sermon that launched the Church. We find that the Peter who once shrank back and even denied Jesus is now confident, bold and impassioned. Peter lays out three proofs of Jesus Good News, the Gospel. He does so through citing eyewitness testimony of the resurrection and ascension of Jesus and by citing prophetic texts that were fulfilled by Jesus. He shows us that the Gospel of Jesus is a proven fact!

My attempt to explain how the metaphysics of the universe works using speculative philosophy and physics. I use the philosophy of idealism, consciousness primary, along with support from modern physicists who support this argument. I propose that the basis of the universe is non-dual monistic idealism. Using the Buddhist metaphysics of an unconditioned basis of being (infinite space-time & potential) we see how monistic idealism plays out in the non-random rules, structure, and repeating patterns of a manifested & conditioned universe. I also propose that the unconditioned basis-of-being is the G旦del "X" (unrecognized complexity) factor that explains the existence of the manifested conditioned universe per his ontological proof. Idealism can also explain the structural theodicy and suffering of the manifested universe, it is not a problem of evil but of ruthlessness for a purpose. Idealism also refutes a personal conditioned theistic God as Absolute or Ultimate, but does not refute (allows) spiritual power and meaning in the world. I include my Neoplatonic-like cosmological proof of God as the unconditioned basis of being, a terminal ontological ground-state (as brute fact), as being a non-theistic source of the universe. It is a long pptx, but it is a big subject.
