The mobile phone was invented in 1973 by Martin Cooper of Motorola. It was the size of a brick and had a battery life of only 20 minutes. Since then, mobile phones have become smaller and more advanced through incremental innovations. They have brought many benefits to society by allowing easy communication anywhere and anytime. Future innovations may include hologram screens, solar charging, and mini earpiece phones.
