  • #3: The Position of Minister Matt 20:26-27 26) But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; 27) And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: 1Cor 3:5-6 5) Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man? 6) I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. 1Cor 9:13 13) Do ye not know that they which minister about holy things live of the things of the temple? and they which wait at the altar are partakers with the altar? Eph 3:7-8 7) Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power. 8) Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; 1Pet 4:10 10) As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 1Pet 4:11 11) If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
  • #4: The Purpose of Ministry Matt 20:28 28) Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. Heb 8:1-2 Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; 2) A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man. Matt 8:14-15 14) And when Jesus was come into Peter's house, he saw his wife's mother laid, and sick of a fever. 15) And he touched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them. Matt 27:55 55) And many women were there beholding afar off, which followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering unto him: Rom 15:8-12 8) Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers: 9) And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name. 10) And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people. 11) And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and laud him, all ye people. 12) And again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust. Rom 15:16-17 16) That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost. 17) I have therefore whereof I may glory through Jesus Christ in those things which pertain to God.
  • #5: The P R of The Ministry 2Cor 3:2-3 2) Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men: 3) Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart. Luke 1:2-3 2) Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word; 3) It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus,
  • #6: The Power of The Ministry Acts 13:2-3 2) As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them. 3) And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away. Acts 26:16 16) But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;
  • #7: Politics and The Ministry Rom 13:4 4) For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. Rom 13:6 6) For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.
  • #8: Partnership in the Ministry 2Cor 8:4 4) Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints. Heb 6:10 10) For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
  • #9: Profession of The Ministry Eph 4:29 29) Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. 2Cor 5:17-19 17) Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 18) And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19) To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
