The mobile phone was invented in 1973 by Dr. Martin Cooper. It allowed people to make calls from anywhere using a handheld device rather than being tied to a landline. Mobile phones quickly became popular as they enabled communication on the go. Today, mobile phones are used not just for calls but also for texting and accessing the internet from anywhere with battery-powered portable devices.
