The image of the parrot of purpose sitting on my shoulder resonates strongly with me. As a teacher, I endeavour to keep this in mind as I plan and implement new ideas in my class programme. Its not about the tools, its about improved outcomes for learners. This presentation will document my learning journey with ICT in a junior classroom and explore authentic ways to embed ICT into the curriculum. There will be particular reference to Kid Pix, digital cameras and Web 2.0 tools including blogging, and voice thread, as well as building a professional learning network through twitter.
