- 4. Jesus and His Disciples Jesus had twelve special followers called disciples or apostles. The twelve disciples followed Jesus wherever He went. They helped him. - 11. When someone asked Jesus what He meant by love thy neighbour, He started to tell him this story. A Jewish man was travelling from Jerusalem to Jericho.

- 25. Jesus told this story to let people know how much God loved them. Once there was a shepherd who had about a hundred sheep. Every day he would take his flock out to graze. At the end of each day the shepherd would herd the sheep into their warm shelter for the night, counting them to make sure they were all safely home.
- 26. One evening, the shepherd arrived home feeling very tired. The sky was very dark and stormy. The shepherd counted his sheep but there were only ninety-nine. One of his flock was missing. He turned round quickly and went to find the lost sheep.
