The Televet project was developed through a business partnership between Italia Pegasus Institute, Confor and the Rome University ‘La Sapienza’, to respond to emerging poultry farming requirements dictated by new European regulations, aimed at animal wellbeing and self-control of poultry farms, to solve the tracking and the tracing in the primary stage of the food chain and to improve the food safety chain in relation to the zoonoses too. Why the “Televet System” ® ? The need for breeding methodologies for a zootechnical-sanitary improvement related to the quality of the final product ; Territorial localization formed by geographically dispersed productive units in various regions and/or abroad ; Lack of a standardized technology for the management of aviary farms with diverse zootechnical structures ; Lack of an integrated solution that unites the needs of technicians (veterinarian, zootechnical, etc.) with those of production managers .
