From the ABACUS through the difference engines to the modern, digital
computers, from vacuum tubes to the cloud storage, from transistors processing
to the multi core IC’s, consider it the Open source UNIX development or the
proprietary based new releases of MS WINDOWS, from the IBM THINK to
INTEL INSIDE, we have seen 7 decades of growth in computers either it be
hardware or software, where they have evolved from large non portable
computers to today’s hand held devices or even the wearable devices in that case.
The world WHITE i.e world “Where Human Intelligence and Technology creates
Excellence” is an article to explore the world of technology.
In our daily life we come across several words such as Innovation, Social
Networking, and Connectivity and so on, what are these? Why are they so
important these days? The answer to it is we are never satisfied with what we got
and we always think and work on making our daily lives simpler and effective.
Information technology has reached a level where in we are now able to connect,
create and share, information in just clicks. Focusing on the trends that we are
following these days being in the field of IT is making us think in a better way to
make things more effective.
When we look around today we are surrounded by the three important
trends of technology, which are merely growing with every moment. To start
with, the world of MOBILITY, every person these days carries a mobile phone
to connect with each other, and focusing on making this field more convenient
and effective is what we have to think as IT professionals. Application which are
useful for our day to day routines can be built to make the best use of this trend.
Moving further we have the vast advantages of having CLOUD
COMPUTING with us, which is the next trend in field of IT. Cloud has three
basic services, which it provides to us:
1. Computing power: It has its own dedicated processors which do the
processing for its clients.
2. Storage: Its elastic storage is the key principle why cloud computing is
popular these days.

3. Bandwidth: The access to cloud is via the bandwidth provided to the
respective client registered under it and depending on his application
access, one can decide on the amount of bandwidth to be used.
Furthermore specific, cloud is a boon to the storage and connectivity of the era.
Social Networking, being the third trend in the world of technology is
going with an iterative process of development, either it be the service of video
chats via Facebook, Sharing of HD pictures on Instagram or it be the video
sharing through You tube. Social Networking has emerged as boon to the society,
its helping an individual in getting connected to each other, whereas its helping
other firms and industries in knowing their potential users, analysing user needs
and decision making. Social Media Marketing is considered to be one of the best
marketing strategy of the decade. The two basic terms SMO and SEO (i.e. Social
Media Optimization and Search Engine Optimization) are the two key aspects
where social media helps in achieving certain goals of a firm.
Apart from the trends of the modern world, we humans with our intellectual
growth and the proper application of technology in various fields have achieved
excellence, few examples that can be considered are,
 Nano Technology, implementing in the field of Science and Medicine in
building the self-diagnostic system, to keep track of an individual’s body
functionality.
 Cognitive Technology, giving the computers the thinking capabilities with
its features like analysis and decision making.
 In the world of Enterprise Resource Planning, either it be SAP or any other
Custom ERP product, we have our resources integrated into a single
system.
 Claytronics, the programmable matter which can convert itself in any
desired manner is going to be the next achievement in human life by using
the concepts of nanotechnology.
From building the simulation models to building an actual model, we have
improvised ourselves in the field of technology. We have a great hold over

the networking capabilities and even we are still under research regarding the
same, to make it more secure, robust and versatile. We are moving from
Industrial robots to humanoids.
This was all thought by us and implemented by us, Human Intellect has
given the world the ASCII standards. And technologies like World Wide
Web, Nano-Technology, Cluster computing, Cognitive computing,
augmented reality, Virtual Reality, Neural Networks are going to help
humans in achieving EXCELLENCE.
Hence, we need to understand the concept of Lead, Learn, Implement and
Grow, we need to PRACTICE what we know, PARTICIPATE whenever we
have an opportunity and PROVE ourselves, that, yes! We too can contribute
to “THE WORLD WHITE”
