The document discusses potential names for "Big Data 2.0" and issues with the term "Big Data". It notes some proposed names like "WTF data" and "OMG data" but argues these confuse means and ends. The document outlines several scenarios for big data including NoSQL databases, Hadoop, real-time analytics, mobile applications, and cloud computing. It poses two questions: which enterprise scenarios are most valuable and how will vendors transition from point solutions to broad platforms.

Editor's Notes
Share insights from Forrester – lot of analysts covering this topic. And have a little fun.
The first problem with the category name is its future. What do we call 2.0?
In all seriousness …Make the point that the past never goes away, and is often linked to the future.
So-called big data solutions address a range of requirements – and they aren’t all the same.
And the products associated with these requirements also vary widely. Prediction: we will soon start to focus on these distinct requirements and product categories rather than big data as a category. We must to be useful.
