This poem advises parents to cherish time with their young children by holding their hands tightly, kissing them often despite protests, hugging them, showing off their photos, and never tiring of their calls. It warns that babies grow up fast and may join their own social groups apart from parents. The poem encourages parents to always be there for their children to capture the twinkle in their eyes that parents dream about keeping in their souls.

These Babies of God.
1. THESES BABIES OF GOD
Hold your babies’ hands, hold them tight,
‘Cause they grow up real fast,
Soon, they’d join their own gang,
and you’re not part of their swarm.
Kiss them oft’, let ‘em protest, hug them in whatever form,
Show off their pics’ funny poses all,
And don’t ever tire of their call.
Be there for them, Mom and Dad, be there all the time,
The twinkle in their eyes you dream about,
You want to capture in your soul.
