TASK 2- THINKING ROUTINE FOR ASSESSMENT
TITLE OF THE THINKING ROUTINE:
THINK PAIR SHARE
EXPLANATION:
Thinking pair share encourages students to think
about the topic and sharing their thoughts with
another student. Because the students are listening
and sharing ideas. For this reason, this routine is
easy to understand multiple perspectives.
The routine can be used in any moment of the unit
before, during or after the unit.
RESOURCES:
The conversations are going to be in English, then,
they will need language scaffolding in order to
know which structures are appropriate to use in this
case. Also, they will need to know which the rules
when sharing opinions with a classmate.
My resources will be three posters. The first and the
second are reminders about the routine and the
different steps you need to follow. The last poster is a
list of the rules that they need to have a
conversation.
HOW ARE YOU GOING TO USE IT?
I’m going to use this thinking routine after the
group conversation about the aquatic life and after
the oral presentations in groups. Because the
students have a new information to share with
other classmates and with this activity the new
knowledge can be introduce in the mental concepts
in our pupils. The diversity of the opinions is the
best to make knowledge.
