Lleida is the capital of the Segrià region in western Catalonia but northern Spain, situated on the banks of the Segre River, with a population of around 135,919 inhabitants. The city experiences very cold, foggy winters and hot summers over 40°C, with rainy springs and foggy autumns. Visitors can reach Lleida by train, car, or plane and travel within the city by bus. Points of interest include the Llotja, Paeria city hall, Príncep de Viana Bridge, old Seu Vella Cathedral, and Gardeny Castle, and the local cuisine features bread with tomato and snails.
