Three Tips for CrossFit Newbies
ï‚ž The world of CrossFit is often filled with daunting tasks
for newcomers. After a few visits, however, many
newcomers are simply hooked on the fitness regimen.
Here are three tips to help first-timers scale the
CrossFit learning curve.
Compete against yourself: Although many CrossFit
gyms encourage healthy competition between
participants, always remember that the only person
you’re competing against is yourself. Draw motivation
from friendly competition with others, but remember
to go at your own pace and focus on your own
progress over time.
ï‚ž Diet is everything: When it comes to
CrossFit, working out is only half the battle. A
healthy diet plays an integral role in overall
health, as well as the process of becoming
stronger.
Don’t be afraid to ask for help: CrossFit
workouts often involve complex lifts and
exercises, many of which newcomers have
never seen before. If you aren’t sure how to
do a movement, ask for clarification as
many times as you need.
