The 20-week YMCA training curriculum provides office skills training in 4 phases: weeks 1-4 focus on core computer, business, and customer service skills; weeks 5-8 allow for specialization in areas like administrative support, financial services, health insurance, or medical office support; weeks 9-12 include simulations of working in virtual companies; and weeks 13-20 include an unpaid internship placement with an employer partner, with ongoing keyboarding, data entry, and career management training throughout the first 12 weeks.
