Training Manager/ Vehicle Instructor/Defense Travel Manager/Platoon Sergeant 2010 to 2015
Training Manager for a 161 Soldier Distribution Company of the Florida Army National Guard unit; ensured
all training pertaining to unit readiness was conducted on time and in compliance of all regulations;
supervises drivers performing preventive maintenance and services on vehicles; trains new drivers and
manages the drivers sustainment program; plans organizes, and operates motor vehicle convoys;
coordinates vehicle recovery; Master Driver who instructs, testes and licenses Soldiers on assigned
equipment; maintained all hazardous materials and certified those for transport on the highways
Key Results:
 Insured the unit has maintained a 97% rating of fully trained and qualified Soldiers so the company could
accomplish it’s assigned mission in a company that has excessive turnover.
 Managed funding requirements for unit training by requesting fiscal year funding in excess of $2,000,000

 Enrolled all personnel in required courses and processed all orders for pay and travel which included all travel

 Trained 400 company personnel in equal opportunity, sexual harassment, and suicide prevention in order to

 HAZMAT trained in the Ammunition, petroleum and recently completed the 80-hour HAZMAT Certifier course
required by DOT to certifying hazardous loads transported on the land, air or sea.

Environmental/HAZMAT manager for Camp Virginia, Kuwait; responsible for programs for handling, storage
and disposition of all hazardous materials on site; served as first responder to all HAZMAT spills in and with
in a 10-mile radius around Camp Virginia; responsible for all pest control and recycling efforts on camp;
coordinated with and trained all entities regarding environmental procedures according to Army regulations

 In absence of Safety officer conducted safety inspections on multiple buildings and facilities with in the camp

Administration Specialist for a 189 Soldier Distribution Company; maintained medical and dental records;
responsible for unit payroll; assisted personnel with reviewing their records to insure records are current;
managed promotion packets and annual personal reviews; maintained unit personnel reports to higher
headquarters; tracked medical issues of Soldiers to insure care; managed education benefits, bonuses and

readiness and training managers was incapacitated due to injury

cargo for shipment using nets, slings and other cargo operational gear; enforced safety standards of
