This document describes a text-based service called Timetag that reminds and informs users about upcoming appointments. It uses the internet and simple text messaging as an interface to manage scheduling complexity. The document provides an example of a user, Jean, who receives a text 72 hours before her scheduled hospital appointment asking if she still needs it. Jean had forgotten about the appointment and no longer requires it, so she texts back "1" to cancel, receiving a confirmation without an awkward phone call.
