The document discusses the development of Titan's Edge watch, the slimmest watch in the world at 1.5mm thick. 10. The titan edge movement is designed to so
slim i.e as thin as credit card
R&d team went to swiss to have assistance to
make the design
Swiss also was not able to design as it was
not possible to have such slim watch which is
also waterproof
So titan r&d decided to made there own
design in india only
11. The titan edge design requires a thin glass i.e
0.3 mm and which was durable too
The swiss was also not able to design such

So they took decison to manufacture there
own glass in india only and assisted the r&d
team

slim case
So they decided to manufacture there own
case n do further r&d on it in india only
13. After so much research finally they found an
Indian dealer who will make strap for this
ultra slim watch
Its was also challenging for strap maker as it
have designed such straps first time and it
thanks the titan for giving such oppertunity
14. After completing all the challenges the
prototype was fully ready
And a master piece was just waiting to launch
in market with such a ultra slim look
Only after the last step i.e testing of the
watch
15. The edge model was sent to chronofiable sa,
switzerland world famous testing agency
The watch goes under following tests

Bump test
Drop test
Water resistance test upto 30 meter
16. Dwarkanath also decided to test the edge
internally
He performed following test-
Wall test
Flour test
Pool test
Road test( tieng the watch in car shock
absorber than driving the car on miserable
roads)
17. The edge passed all the test successfully
And team achieved the target
And the credit goes to xerxes desais orbit

And finally in 2000 the edge comes up in the
market
