ABSTRACT
The project resembles a device which can control various electrical devicessimultaneously using a
remote. The switching operation of the devicescan be preset using remote according to the date time
and year. This can also performthe operation repeatedly up to 100 years. The whole operation can
be protected by a password which can be changed according to the privacy. This project based on
the Atmel ATMEGA16A and Dallas real-time clock (RTC) chip DS12887 to control and remotely
programthe switching operation of the electrically operated devices. The devices can be switched
on/off at precise times repeatedly every day, every month. The microcontroller can be programmed
for device control using a normal Philips TV remote control.
Through thiscircuitry we cancontrolthe operationof devicesby distantplaces. To build thissystem,
sensing technology, long distance communication system, microcontroller has been used. This
Project increasesthe operational security of devices in an Organization.
