This document outlines the design of a wireless electric guitar. It identifies the problem of existing electric guitars not being durable, lightweight, or maintenance-free. Various design concepts are considered, including using a battery power source and installing an improved amplifier. A compromise solution is proposed that makes the guitar battery-powered with its own amplifier and switch installed. It would cost over $25,000 to produce, including parts, tweaks, and a stylish design for high quality performance. A prototype was successfully built and tested, refining the components and arrangements to achieve durability, portability, and competitive pricing.
