Monsters Ball AMC(DStv140)at11.10pm MONSTERS Ball is the 2001 Ameri- can romantic drama film that won Halle Berry an Acad- emy Award for best actress in 2002 for her performance. Great Expectations M-NetMoviesRomance(DStv107)at4.10pm GREAT Expecta- tions is a 2012 British film adaptation of Charles Dickens novel of the same name. The film stars Jeremy Irvine, Helena Bonham Carter, Holliday Grainger, Ralph Fiennes and Robbie Col- trane. While this adaptation has received a lot of criticism for not adding anything new to the meaty Dickens classic, the visual aspects of this classic deserve special mention as they enhance the viewing experience of what would have been an uneventful and dull film. It feels as if the cinematography and art direction are working to illustrate and expand on the writing.
