- 4. Rizal was only eighteen years od age when he write the poem To the Filipino Youth (1879)This poem was strikingly different from any had before written. He had frequently depicted the renowned Spanish explorers and kings and generals, until Spanish hearts must have been thrilled.
- 5. Rizal Dedicated This poem not only for the youth of his time or the generation after them but to all Filipino Youth. He wants to remit us that we are the future of this Motherland.
