Taj Mahal, Agra
? The Taj Mahal is the Indian Historical Monument that was built by the
Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the year 1643.
? It comes under 7 wonders of the World.
? It lies in the city of Agra, Uttar Pradesh.
? It is made from Ivory White Marble which is known as ��Sangemarmar�� in
Urdu.
? It was built in the memory of Shah Jahan��s wife Mumtaz.
? It was declared as a UNESCO World Heritage site in the year 1983.
? It was also declared as a ��Jewel of the Muslim Art of India��.

Red Fort, Delhi
? It is an Indian Historical Monument that lies in the city of Old Delhi.
? It was built by Shah Jahan in the year 1638 when he decided to shift his
Capital from Agra to Delhi.
? The fort is made from Red Sandstone and the painting on the fort was
done by Ustad Ahmed Lahori.
? It tooks 10 years to complete the construction of the fort.
? It was the residence of Mughals and one water stream called Nehr-i-
Behesht was connected to the Apartments of the fort.

Golden Temple, Amritsar

Mehrangarh Fort, Jodhpur
? The Mehrangarh fort is an Indian historical monument that was built
by Rao Jodha in the year 1459.
? It is located at the height of 125m above the town and surrounded by
thick stone walls.
? There are many Palaces inside the wall boundary which is known for their
carvings and expansive courtyards.
? On the second gate, the marking of cannonballs fired by armies
of Jaipur can be seen.
? At the left side of the fort, there is a chhatri of Kirat Singh Soda, a soldier
who fell on the spot defending Mehrangarh.
? There is one Museum inside the Mehrangarh Fort and it is one of the well-
stocked museum in the state of Rajasthan.
