This document outlines the conditions for a group assignment on topics in civics and ethics. Students will be assigned to groups and required to work collaboratively to research and write a paper on their assigned topic. They must describe the topic, review literature from various sources except Wikipedia, provide examples, discuss prospects and recommendations, and submit a 3-4 page paper with no more than 900 words by January 9th, 2015. Thirteen potential topics are listed covering issues like civic education, democracy, citizenship, work ethic, and types of federalism.

1. Topics for Civics and Ethics Course Assignment (Group Work)
Conditions of the Assignment are working in group, instead of individual work. It needs the
synergy of the group members, towards contributing for the assignment together, in a
collaborative manner. As far as much of the topics are letting the students to be critical thinker,
debate among the group members is strongly encouraged, before writing the final paper to be
submitted. No one’s contribution should lag behind the contributions of the rest of the group
members. Specifically, students are expected to come up with :
description of the topics under their assignment;
Reviewing literatures(books, Newspaper, Journals, Internet Sites (except from
www.wikepedia.org) and so on)
Apparent and implied examples related with the topics.
The better prospects of the topics raised already( including solutions and
recommendations
The submissions should be 3-4 pages long, maximum of 900 words.
The due date of submission will be January 9th 2015
