STEP-1 Add the file to be corrected
Tip: Save your ArcMAP *.mxd file before starting (to avoid losing data due to some
error)

Step-2: Create a personal/file geodatabase
Step-3: Right click geodatabase  New  New Feature Dataset
Give a name to new feature dataset
Select the projection of the dataset (same as data to be corrected)
Click Next  Finish (No changes here)
Step-4: Right Click New Feature Dataset  Import  Feature Class (Single)
Select the layer in Input  Give a Output Feature Class Name  OK
Step-5: Right Click New Feature Dataset  Topology

Step-6: Move Topology layer to ArcMap from Catalog
Note: Remove existing layers

Step-7: Display Topology Toolbar
Step-8: Start Editing to highlight the toolbar
Step-9: Click on Error Inspector on Topology toolbar
Step-10: Click Search Now in Screen Below to begin error search
RIGHT CLICK ERROR TO SHOW OPTIONS. USUALLY BOUNDARY CAN BE MARKED
AS EXCEPTION. ZOOM TO LAYER TO SEE ERROR PROPERLY
Zoom to the next error which is a gap in dataset
Create New Feature in Gap
Merge it with nearby polygons (check land use type in imagery or Give new
Attributes)
For Must not Overlap Error  Use Merge. Select any adjacent Polygons to Merge the Error
Save Edits  Stop Editing (after all errors are corrected)
 The file inside geodatabase is the final
