This document provides information on day trip options from Asclepios Wellness & Healing Retreat. Green Tours DAY TRIPS A. Volcán Póas A scenic drive through the green countryside up to the top of Poás Volcano, one of the widest accessible volcanic craters in the world. Stand on the edge and look down into the bubbling blue cauldron. Currently Poás has very active fumaroles in the inner part of the crater. The second crater, Botos, is a crystal clear rain-fed lake surrounded by highland jungleand reached by a walk of about ½ mile through a unique dwarf cloud forest. Distance from the hotel: 50 minutes. Green Tours C. Canopy Tour at Colinas del Poás Adventures zip line tour on the slopes of the Poás Volcano, surrounded by an exuberant primary cloud forest.
