Radomir is a town located in southwestern Bulgaria near the capital city of Sofia. It has a population of around 16,000 people and is situated in a valley at the foot of mountains. Radomir has a long history dating back to prehistoric times and was the site of an uprising in 1918 that led to Bulgaria becoming a republic. Today it is a modern city with natural attractions like waterfalls, museums preserving its historical artifacts, and landmarks like a famous arch built in 1879.

- 2. The town of Radomir is located in the south- western part of Bulgaria. Radomir is in a valley at the foot of the mountain Golo Bardo. Radomir is near the capital of Bulgaria Sofia.
- 3. The town covers an area of 506 sq.km. Its population is 16,254 inhabitants. It is the second largest town in Pernik region.
- 4. Radomir is a medieval town built over prehistoric, ancient settlement and a necropolis. Many people from the city took part in Russo-Turkish War and Balkan Uprising.
- 5. In 1918 the town became the centre of Radomir Soldiers' Uprising. On September 27, 1918 for the first time Bulgaria was proclaimed a republic.
- 6. Today Radomir is a modern city with its appearance, economic infrastructure, natural attractions and cultural institutions.
- 7. On the territory of Radomir is the Nature Reserve "Ostritsa." It has a great variety of plant and animal species.
- 8. One of the landmarks is the waterfall Buchaloto", located in the north-eastern part of the city. The waterfall is with a height of 10 - 12 m. It is great for relaxation and walks.
- 9. In the museums '' Soldiers Uprising'' and ''Stoyos house'' we can find preserved old utensils, jewellery and weapons.
