1) The Finance Minister introduced the Finance (No. 2) Bill, 2014 in the Lok Sabha on July 1st, 2014 which includes changes to Customs and Central Excise law and duty rates. 2) Several notifications have been issued to prescribe effective duty rates and carry out amendments to rules under the respective Acts. 3) Trade associations, chambers of commerce, and members of regional advisory committees are requested to inform their members, especially manufacturers, about the contents of this trade notice regarding the 2014 budget.
