In Spain, there are over 52 different traditional costumes that vary greatly between regions due to differences in culture, traditions, and ways of living. In the Valladolid region, women's traditional costumes for parties feature red, purple, green, and yellow skirts from the Tierra de Campos area. Black skirts were worn by brides on their wedding day and by widows. Both men and women in the Valladolid region wear tailored tillage outfits suited to the main economic activity of farming, with women wearing multi-colored skirts and blouses along with accessories like scarves, hats, and shoes. different traditional costumes in Spain. Our culture, tradition, different ways of
living,¡ they are different and our costumes are different too.
In Valladolid we can find different traditional costumes and differet colors too.
The costume of the women in parties are red, purple, green and yellow, those
of our Tierra de Campos region. The black color in the skirts, they used the
brides on their wedding day and is also the color of widows.
Moreover, men and women use a tailored typical tillage, as this was and is the
main economic activity of our land. For women is out of cloth in assorted
colors (brown and yellow highlighting), together with white shirt and stockings
and black shoes, scarf and hat on head.
From the waist down : the women wore skirts (mantles) or rodaos . They differ
in that the mantles are rounded and closed , while rodaos are open. The number
of cloaks depended on the wealth of the family , up to 4 or 5 , so that was
prestigious show " really wide " hips.
