Triangle Tree Challenge 
The Trees will be on display in Durham¡¯s Diamond View Park through 1/4/15.
Triangle Tree Challenge 
The Triangle Tree Challenge is an annual event 
sponsored by American Tobacco, WRAL, Fox 50, 
Mosca Design and Intellicom. 
Eligible nonprofits decorate live Christmas trees 
for a chance to win cash prizes ranging from 
$1,000-$5,000 -- and bragging rights.
Triangle Tree Challenge 
This is the 5th year of the competition, and more 
than 50 local nonprofits decorated trees with 
themes reflecting their missions.

Winners are decided by the combination of 
online and text votes.
Triangle Tree Challenge 
First place prize is $5,000. 
Second place is $2,500. 
Third place is $1,000. 
There are also three Judges Choice awards of 
$1,000 each.

North Raleigh Ministries selected ¡°Baskets of 
Hope¡± as our theme this year, and our tree is 
decked with baskets containing food, clothing 
and toys to represent our mission of helping 
neighbors in crisis.

North Raleigh Ministries celebrated its 10th year 
in March and has made great strides since our 
launch in 2004. 
We have graduated from a 1,200 sq. ft. house on 
Six Forks Road to a larger commercial space in 
the Harvest Oaks Shopping Center that houses 
our Crisis Center, Client¡¯s Choice Food Market 
and Thrift Shoppe.

Our mission is to provide compassionate 
assistance to neighbors in crisis. 
Participating in this competition increases 
awareness of what we do, and winning a prize 
will help us to continue with this work.
