The document discusses improving quality and cutting costs in chronic and complex wound monitoring. It describes how chronic wounds currently take months or years to heal, costing billions annually worldwide. The solution presented uses a mobile app and secure online portal to allow home care workers to easily and consistently document wound details like photos, measurements and descriptions. This standardized information can then be instantly accessed and analyzed by wound specialists to facilitate remote consultations and more efficient care, while saving significant time and costs compared to current manual documentation practices.

1. IMPROVING QUALITY AND CUTTING COSTS IN CHRONIC AND COMPLEX WOUND MONITORING
Every year there are tens of millions of people worldwide who suffer from chronic and complex wounds (e.g. decubitus, ulcus cruris).
The healing of chronic and complex wounds takes months and someTmes even years, oUen leading to the social isolaTon of paTents
due to pain, smell and immobility.
Elderly people and diabeTcs are most likely to suffer from chronic or complex wounds. Both groups are huge and will only grow in the
coming decades:
• In the Netherlands – more than 400.000 paTents a year, at a cost of € 2 billion a year.
• Worldwide – more than 94 million paTents a year, at a cost of more than € 750 billion a year.

How it works
Our soluTon only requires the home care worker to make a picture and to gather addiTonal informaTon about a wound, with our
app. Next, our proprietary soUware algorithms instantly provide an objecTve analysis of the surface of the wound. No more need for
grid paper or a Q-‐Tp.
These pictures and any addiTonal relevant data are automaTcally and securely sent to and stored on the online portal. Here all
informaTon is placed in the paTent’s secure virtual file, easily and Tme-‐efficiently available to any authorized person. Our soluTon
makes a fast and instant analysis – or even a quick second-‐opinion – by the wound specialist possible, even while the home care
worker is sTll at the paTent’s bed.
Current monitoring
A paTent is mostly monitored and taken care of by mulTple home care workers, using fairly
primiTve means and resources. This offers a lot of room for distorted and inconsistent
informaTon and transfer thereof. Most important Instruments in wound care include:
• A color palege to assess wound colors.
• Grid paper, a ruler and a Q-‐Tp to measure the surface and the depth of a wound.
• Pen and paper to write down all findings.
• SomeTmes a picture of some sort, oUen even sent via Facebook or Whatsapp.
This bundle of informaTon has to find its way to the wound specialist, which is inefficient and
the informaTon communicated is not consistent over Tme. Moreover the documentaTon
itself takes up to 50% of the Tme at the paTent’s bed. This leads to a lower quality of wound
care, potenTal complicaTons and unnecessarily high costs.
InnovaTve soluTon
At Inmote MedTech, with years of experience in IT, we specialize in the opTmizaTon of
processes, documentaTon and secure communicaTon by using exisTng, adapted and accepted
technology.
In close contact and in conTnuous dialog with potenTal customers we have developed a
unique, secure, cloud-‐based online portal (Web & App) with global potenTal, including
soUware-‐based services and products (SAAS).
The end-‐to-‐end turnkey soluTon we have developed is completely in line with our mogo “Next
generaTon care. Easy. Connect. Share.”: It is hardware-‐independent, easy to implement, easy to
use, and easy to integrate and connect to exisTng systems (HIS, EHR/EMR, etc.), focused on
efficient connecTvity as well as consistent and “easily sharable” informaTon.
