The document describes a classroom project where students created 3D trioramas depicting scenes with natural, flow, renewable and nonrenewable resources to demonstrate their understanding of different resource types. The students made 3D pop-up elements like trees, people and fish in their trioramas and then wrote short essays explaining the resources shown in their diagrams to reinforce the lesson.

Project Description: Here is a simple classroom project I did with my class. In the picture
above you see a sample of a 3D triorama I did with the students in my class. I had the students
create this 3D triorama for social studies. We were learning about the different types of
resources that can be found in the environment (natural, flow, renewable and nonrenewable).
After reading and learning about each, the students had to create a 3D triorama depicting a scene
where these various types of resources could be found. If you look closely in the pictures you
can see that the trees, people and fish are all popping out of the picture in 3D form. After the
students were finished creating their 3D trioramas, they had to write a 2-3 paragraph essay
explaining all of the resources that could be found in their diagrams.
