- 6. Faith The people travel for miles to mass sometimes only seeing a priest once a month.
- 7. Family is important and much like ours.
- 9. Priorities were rearranged: Seek first the kingdom of God and all these things will be given to you besides. Do not worry about tomorrow Mt 6: 33-34
- 10. Hospitality: We came to serve but they served us: be fervent in Spirit, serve the Lord Rm:2:11

- #2: There are three goals in the Twinning relationship:
- #3: Prayer: Third Sunday: Common prayer placed in books, petitions at mass, other liturgical ministries meeting third week are asked to pray for San Francisco de Assis needs
- #4: Pen pals: Our students will begin exchanging letters, translation will be done by our Hispanic community, other opportunities already discussed in the school Visits: They can accommodate 15 peopleour hope to include youth in summer visit Language: Need bilingual parishioners for visits and translation Specific feast days to Honduras: example of Our Lady of Suyapa feast day experience, impressions of pilgrims coming for miles and days ahead to experience the devotion Communication through our pictures and experiences
- #5: Family/children: marriage and other sacramental prep materials needed Retreat center: need place to hold retreats and training for sacraments and liturgical ministers Chapels: Of 35 communities, 9 do not have chapels. They hold services in peoples homes or a community building. Tabernacles: needed in some communities Training materials and or funds to send catechists to training provided by diocese
- #6: Current Health Services: Sisters clinic; Doctor (public health clinic) Need for meds, teams of health professionals to set up clinics esp: gynecological, dental, vision.

- #9: John: thought we were prepared for living conditions but soon found out things were very different. First night: Change in plans, offer to change if it did not work out. Kathy: during the nightgetting upour conversation, prayer, fell back to sleep John: rooster stories Kathy :conversion of attitude

Worry about hairdryer, clothes, etc. After first night.God provided what we needed and allowed us to experience his graces in the simplicity of the culture and the love of the peoplePriorities shifted water over electricity John: came to enjoy taking our showers by star light!
- #11: Kathy: preparing meals, liturgical leaders John: Wanting to entertain and share culture, feeding us,,,do not have much but what they have, they want to share with us.
- #12: John: every chapelhad own musicians, mass was lively and joyful Host: Fredy: marimba group, electric guitar, guitar, very active musician, loving husband and father
- #13: Older ladies talking to us Jaime (one of the team) with his grandmotherrespect for the elderly Priests serving infants to elderly
- #14: Work with the hands.ordinary chores, walks, siestas, enjoying the gifts of time and talent.

- #16: Kathy: Singing to Sebastian John: Fredy and I are trying to learn English and Spanish. Fredy- dictionary. John- On-line lessons and lists. Gesturing, drawing, showing translations. Kathy & Kelin helped when we got stuck. Meaning vs precision. Amigo Alejandro helped as well. By end of week we had come to know one another and more about the others culture. This was achieved for all of the committee members from the two parishes as well. Through this process we now have great friends in Honduras.
