Why I want to do it?
This forms the purpose of doing the work.
Some solid reasons can be..
 Financial
 Social
 Self satisfaction
 Crisis
Justification should be based on widespread
benefit enjoyed by all involved
Why I want to do it? contd
This come under three category of approach:
 Selfish  benefits are enjoyed only by the doer and not shared
consciously. Not advised
 Ethical ( Moral)  Benefits enjoyed by the doer with a conscious
sharing to those involved. Advised
 Dharmic- Benefits are not important and the doer does the task as
his Karma(Duty) conscious about negative effects to the society. Most
advised
Question 2
What do I need to accomplish the task
successfully?
The following triangle will explain it self
Attitude
SkillsKnowledge
Mind
Brain Body
Co Ordination
Co-Ordination
Lets understand the link and the Co-ordination required about the previous slide
 Attitude = Mind, the sincerity to do the task and the daring to face
challenges.
 Knowledge -
 About the task in hand
 Required to do the task
 About resources
 About people involved
 About possible challenges (side effects)
 About limitations
 Brain  Alertness and speed of action
 Hence a link and co-ordination of knowledge and brain
Co-Ordination  contd.
Skills -
 Ability to do the task and handle challenges
 Proficiency in performance
 Speed in action and perfection in completion (means less errors)
Body  Which actually performs the task (physical)
 Sound Health
 Flexibility
 High threshold level
 Positive body language co ordination of eyes and ears /postures and gestures
Why these two questions are
important?
Not knowing them
Many a time, work started with interest and then lose tempo over the
period
Cause for conflict
Team work is impossible
Stress
Work  Life imbalance
The opposite is the result when we get answers for these questions and
then start the work
