Resistance bands are rubber or latex tubes that provide 
tension while exercising. 
They come in a variety of resistance levels, shapes, and lengths. 
Some exercise bands are loops of rubber that can be wrapped 
around the limbs or stationary objects.

The most commonly available varieties 
include: 
Tube exercise bands 
Flat bands 
Loops

Tubular resistance bands have handles on them and are often 
used more in strength training. 
The common bands are used for yoga and Pilates

Ensure that you do appropriate warm up activity before using 
resistance bands. 
Use a band with resistance level that suits your fitness level. 
Never try to use one with higher resistance, especially if you dont 
have prior experience!
