This document discusses universal design for learning (UDL) guidelines for implementing inclusive practices in the classroom. It outlines three principles of UDL: providing multiple means of representation, action and expression, and engagement. It then describes how UDL can be implemented at the elementary and secondary levels to identify student strengths, boost confidence, and allow creative exploration through options like technology. The document concludes by listing websites with further information on UDL in instruction.

Implementing Universal
Development Learning
Implementing Universal Development Learning focuses on
giving the students options and variances within the curriculum
that we are given to teach.
These ideas are implemented in hopes of lowering the amount
of students who are identified as disabled when that is not
always the case.
Teachers take in the guidelines provided in order to provide
their students with ways to make them understand the material
in ways that makes most sense to the student.
4. + Universal Design of Learning in
Elementary and Secondary
Education
Elementary
These ideas are implemented into learning in order to find the
students individual strengths and allow them to grow and work with
their talents.
These ideas are also here to make the students more comfortable
with themselves and to boost the confidence that may not have
been so apparent if they were forced to work in very strict working
conditions
Secondary
Implementing these guidelines into secondary education can be
tricky but using technology seems to be a good way of allowing the
students creativity to explore the best way for them to learn.
These ideas stem from the hands on, action learning done in
previous years to boost the students chances of fully understanding
the material.
