1. The Company
Our Client is building a Scientific Publishing platform for extending the reach and influence of new
discoveries and to showcase new approaches to the presentation, use, and assessment of research.
The Job
There are three main strands of work waiting for you.
First off you will help build up the rest of the full team. As the first full time UI developer in the
company you will have an immediate impact, and you will be instrumental in helping to set
standards and quality of the products that we produce.
Secondly, you will help our client to improve what we have built to date, and to extend the features
and functionality of version 1.0 of the journal site, as well as help us to refine the product roadmap
for the site.
Thirdly, you will prototype ideas to help our client refine their thinking about what future products
they should build.
Skills and Requirements
Our Client wants to deliver the best possible experiences on the web so javascript (preferably
jQuery), HTML, CSS, new HTML APIs and a good understanding of ajax are essential.
Our Client want to be learn fast, so an ability to quickly create throw away prototypes is desirable,
however they don’t want to ship crud so experience with TDD or BDD for production code is also
essential.
Experience building on Drupal will be helpful.
