- 3. Purdue Mathematics Department Purdues Department of Mathematics is one of the top mathematics departments in the country. We have more than 70 full-time faculty members. Our student body consists of approximately 500 majors (all programs) and 190 minors. Graduates from our programs have gone on to successful careers in law, medicine, politics, and business, as well as every aspect of science, computer science, technology and, of course, mathematics.

Purdue Mathematics Actuarial Science Program Joint Mathematics and Statistics program Approximately 200 majors Covers the material for the first five SOA/CAS actuarial exams Approved course work for all three of the SOA/CAS VEE requirements Actuarial students receive a double major in Statistics and Actuarial Science. Most majors also get a Management minor.
