- 1. Needs & Wants I found that with this $500 budget that my wants, which were mostly electronics, were all too much for my budget because I had to buy things that were essential to live. My needs were things that were required like food, clothing and transportation My wants were things that arent required but good to have like my phone. I wouldve liked to have a TV or a computer but my budget didnt permit it.
