Pictures and Flash cards
Lesson Topic:
Singular and Plural Nouns. Name of a person ,
animal , place or object.
Lesson Aims:
They can learn how to make a singular noun
to plural noun and plural noun to singular
noun.
Student Level:
Pre- Intermediate
Describe the activity : how & when
will you use this aid in class:
When 脹 start the lesson , first 脹 show pictures about regular
singular nouns and next their plural forms. Then 脹 explain
the subject by writing on the board. After that 脹 show the
pictures about irregular nouns. After 脹 tell everything , 脹 will
use the flashcards. Discovery or guessing , is the premise of
many games 脹 can play with flashcards. The more 脹 can keep
kids guessing , the better 脹 will keep their attention. If 脹 play
with a sense of fun , children will want to remember
vocabulary to keep the game going. Watching children play
, 脹 will see them employing one , two or all three of these
modals in just about any activity or game they play. Keeping
this in mind , 脹 will have an endless number of activities 脹
can use flashcards.

Most nouns : add  S cat = cats
* Rule :2
Nouns ending in y :
A) with a consonant : change y to i and add ES
baby = babies
B) with a vowel + y: add S
day = days
* Rule :3
Nouns ending in o :
A) with a consonant + o : add ES
hero = heroes
B) with a vowel + o : add S
studio = studios
*Rule : 4
Nouns ending in ch, s, sh, x or z : add ES
box = boxes
dish = dishes
bench= benches
*Rule :5
Nouns ending in f or fe : change the f or fe
to V and add ES
leaf = leaves
