Young people in Colombia are significantly affected by the country's conflict and poverty. Nearly half of Colombian youth live in poverty and 15% are homeless. While young people make up a large portion of armed groups, empowering youth and improving their rights and opportunities could help reduce violence and strengthen democracy. The document discusses promoting youth participation, a culture of peace, and protection of children and youth affected by conflict.
