- 1. As cruel as it may sound, I completely agree with the immigration laws that we have set up. There is an overpopulation problem in the United States, and allowing anyone with a green card to come over will not help. However, I believe it should be easier if you are trying to flee from a country like Russia, who has basically made it illegal to be gay. I believe that you have to a have a legitimate reason to come over here, whether for school, work, love, or other legitimate purposes.
