In 2018 UoM embraced the vision of a research-engaged and entrepreneurial university. A number of initiatives were put in place and implemented. Stronger bonds were developed with public and private sector, including an incubator initiative.

#4: UoM has been for a long long time the only university in Mauritius. Established as a developmental university, more or less at the time of independence, we started with the school of agriculture. Here in the picture, you can see the footage of the old stone building that housed the School of Agriculture. The focus at the time was on manpower production to address the socio-economic needs of the country.,
