This presentation is part of the 2024-11-07 roundtable event at Microsoft Reactor in Toronto.
It shows how real-time telemetry from the Wago Energy meter via the Wago Compact controller 100 and Azure EventGrid namespace with MQTT broker flows into Microsoft Fabric.
The power consumption can be queried via KQL in the KQL Queryset. Telemetry is also shown in a Real-Time dashboard with only a two-second delay.

2. The MQTT broker feature in Azure Event Grid
Azure Event Grid now enables clients to publish and subscribe to messages over
the MQTT v3.1.1 and v5.0 protocols to support Internet of Things (IoT) solutions
Clients connect only to topic spaces appointed to them being part of a client group
Broadcasting messages from regular Azure resources need extra attention
3. The promise of Microsoft Fabric
An end-to-end analytics SaaS platform that brings together all the
data and analytics tools that organizations need, providing insights
from the data lake to the business user
4. Fabric Real-Time Intelligence experience
Ingesting, analyzing and acting on immutable events, observations, facts
Great for security audits, logging, Database CDC, , IoT telemetry, etc.
