The emotional perception of a place is influenced by the demographic values, influencing the OBJECTIVE CONCLUSION most likely social characteristic of place. In cooperation with the program, connectivity and the spatial composition, the factor create the static atmosphere of a location. These factors give a top-down representation of the situation of the place, but are just a fraction of how a certain at- mosphere of the place is created. Other static factor could include facade materials, vegetation etc. The atmosphere of a place is also very time-space related, what happens at a certain time in that certain place, either for example by people or the environment (rain, sun, wind, season etc.) But these factor can¡¯t be predicted, therefore in this timespan are not possible to map (objectively). What influence do the static factors have on a location? - Residential program: A residential program in low densities creates privatisation of the location, therefore visitors become conspicuous possibly a threat to the territory - Commercial program: A commercial program either in high or low densities makes visitors become anonymuous, hardly noticable for inhabitants. - High Density: High densities just like commercial program create anonymity - Low Income: A general low income doesn;t imidiatly influence the atmosphere but does provide an insight in the possible oter social situations of the neighborhood. - High Unemployment: A high unemployment - Poor Connectivity: Poor connectivity decreases the intensity of use - Public: A public place could create anonymity depending on the intensity of use. - Private: A private place often makes a visitor become conspicuous, therefore an anomoly for the inhabitants. Possibily a threat or an person/thing of interest.
