This document discusses urban social gaming and proposes a new type of location-based game platform. It defines what is and is not considered urban social gaming currently. It then proposes a geolocated game platform with simple geometric rules that uses cloud computing and real-time player location information from devices to render the game visually. An example game discussed is capture the flag, which could use Delaunay triangulation of player groups and configurable rules. The objective is to create a buzz around this platform and sell it to a major social network company.

What is currently USG!
Role playing games with rules, characters, items, etc. played on a long time
period. Adding & using augmented reality contents and feedback from the
device sensors. Games needing a lot of interactions with the device user
interface.
What is not actually USG!
Simple like the games you were playing in the recreation areas when you were
child and in a limited times, with a real physical dynamics. The game get you
moving. The game reconnect people to the places they inhabit!
What we propose!
A geolocalization game platform, cloud computing arbited, with simple
geometric rules & highly con鍖gurable. We do not care about sensors,
augmented reality, touch interaction, etc.. We only care about the capability of
the device, to process in real time, localisation informations coming from all the
players, for the visual rendering and orientation of the game.

Seems too simple, too easy
Why you cant 鍖nd it on the net? Why it is not yet available? Would you play???
Possibilities
No space limitation, neither locomotion modes
Lost device signal : not an issue & can be integrated as a strategy
Make the geometric rules designable & con鍖gurable
Make the game bankable for the winning team (e.g. 1 euro per player to join the game)
Short term Objective
Make a Buzz & Sell the platform to a Major Social Network company.
